America Goes to Camp

Here's the trailer for the new Camp FEMA movie:

"Why is the media saying there are no FEMA camps, but legislation has been introduced to build them?" - Alex Jones

Think he's lying? Check out Rep. Jack Brooks grilling Oliver North:

I think it's perfectly obvious why FEMA doesn't respond well to natural disasters. FEMA (federal emergency management agency) exists to manage emergencies that threaten Uncle Sam, not you.

I had a sneaking suspicion Obama's Einstein 3 Internet program was taking aim, ready to stab the free out of me.  But, in the weapons drawer of Uncle Sam, Einstein 3 is like those corn-on-the-cob holders.  It compares not at all to what grim reaper, Senator Rockefeller of West Virginia, has drawn; a heavy hammer and a sharp sickle.  Rockefeller plans to bludgeon the freedom and information that We the People have been using to sharpen our vigilance.

This makes perfect sense.  The government is on to us.  Ron Paul had unprecedented 3rd party campaign success due to the Internet.  People have been speaking up and getting angry at Town Hall meetings - anger that stemmed from what they read on the Internet.

The Internet is the catalyst which transforms the will of the American People into the virus that brings about change.  This virus threatens the political lives of elected officials; elected officials who have lived, politically, for far too long with the illusion that their environment is a sterile one, safeguarded from the virus - the germs that are growing into monsters - monsters who out number, and are quickly out-smarting them.

Hold on to your mouse.  Check out S.773.  Holy shit!
http://news.cnet.com/8301-13578_3-10320096-38.html

Senator Rockefeller said "We must protect our critical infrastructure at all costs--from our water to our electricity, to banking, traffic lights and electronic health records."

BE SURE to REMIND him of our liberty.  Email Senator Rockefeller here

Look!  I've already written it for you:

We the People WILL NOT support any bill that favors protection at ALL COSTS.  That which costs us our liberty is not worth favoring.  As a free American, endowed with inalienable rights, I stand in defense of the first amendment.  The government is NOT authorized to silence free speech on the Internet in matters of security or otherwise.

Some highlights from the Cnet article:

The White House is supposed to engage in "periodic mapping" of private networks deemed to be critical, and those companies "shall share" requested information with the federal government. ("Cyber" is defined as anything having to do with the Internet, telecommunications, computers, or computer networks.)

Sections of the proposal include a federal certification program for "cybersecurity professionals," and a requirement that certain computer systems and networks in the private sector be managed by people who have been awarded that license.

If your company is deemed "critical," a new set of regulations kick in involving who you can hire, what information you must disclose, and when the government would exercise control over your computers or network.

I'm not sure how these boycotting liberals imagined John Mackey, the CEO of Whole Foods, Inc., but I believe it went a little something like this:

He gets up around 1pm, combs his long gray hair, plays a little ditty on his mandolin before sliding his feet into his Teva's, throwing a Che Guevara T-shirt over his head, and slipping into some hemp sweatpants.  He gets into his car, a 1977 Volvo, and strolls into work around 2:30, a cup of fair-trade coffee in one hand, a Bob Avakian book in the other.  He sits in his office, speaking, just a decibel above the Phish tune he's pouring out of his radio, about how this Country needs to start caring about poor people again.  He's there for about an hour, at which time the spirit moves him to clock out.  Oh, wait.  You're right.  I don't think he uses the time-clock.  I bet he volunteers there.

WAKE up, folks!  John Mackey is a libertarian.  He runs a company that panders to a very large and growing group of health-conscious People, and he does so with free-market values.

He's got great ideas about health care reform, which he wrote about on his blog.  In so doing, he revealed his true Red, White, and Blue colors to the American People.

He's an opponent of the Employee Free Choice Act, but the only liberals who have a problem with that are the ones who AREN'T WORKING FOR HIM.  That's because Whole Foods employees have terrific benefits.  No intrusive government act necessary!

You know, we cry and carry on about how corporations just won't listen to us.  They won't respond to our needs and desires for quality goods and services.  Then, finally, a company falls from free market heaven, answering our prayers for a grocery superstore that supplies us with a fresh, organic, free-range, antibiotic-free, hormone-free smorgasbord, and what do liberals do?  Boycott it!

Well, I think Mackey is doing a fine job.  He's couragous, too, putting his opinions and values out there while catering to mostly liberal customers.  He's saying to them, "I am opposed to big government.  We, the People, are responsible for our own lives and our own health.  Whole Foods customers reap the rewards of a capitalist society."

These liberals...(and, here, I get to use one of my favorite phrases) don't know whether to shit or go blind.

     So, they boycott.

These Machines Kill Fascists

So, I originally bought the "This Machine Kills Fascists" sticker for my guitar.  The sticker was made famous by Woody Guthrie who frequently performed with the slogan displayed on his guitar.

The guitars of musicians who write songs about politics and/or societal idiosyncrasies can be fascists killers.  All it takes is a message, an idea, and your fellow countrymen to hear it, feel it, know it, and respond to it.

I have an ol' pal in Libertarian Party of Chicago who always tells me, "What we need is a rock group."  I couldn't agree more, T.

Rock, punk, funk, folk, you name it.  The message of liberty must come through these expressions of the American voice, and it must come now.

Polygraph Radio is setting up shop for a lot of these artists.  Polygraph Radio houses mostly New World Order heavy duty stuff.  It may not fit everyone's taste, but nothing fits everyone's taste.  Point is, it's the music of many Americans who have begun to see the world with new eyes.

My Facebook friend, Gus Amador, is doing his part, too.  Check out his music at http://www.myspace.com/gusamador.

Now, I write about liberty almost everyday on this blog, but my music is different.  My guitar, a wooden box of rain and thunder that lends itself so freely to me when I feel a storm coming but can't see the words on the road.  And that's quite alright because we've had the words of freedom for as long as we've had America.  What we need more of is the vibration of freedom.  Music moves people.  You can't have a movement without music.

So to get back to that sticker.  It was too small for my guitar, so I put it on my laptop - right over the apple logo.  Until I become a musical outlaw, I can kill all the fascists I want to with this machine.

PS - Note to the world:  I have never seen another person with the "This Machine Kills Fascists" sticker on their computer.  I claim today, as I sit in this hipster hangout, that I started the fad, and that I am a true hipster - one who leads mostly and follows sometimes.

I couldn't be more pleased with the fiery, unhinged turbulence engulfing our politicians at town hall meetings.

It could be the most beautiful thing I've seen come out of the American People over the last 30 years.

These People are mouthy, mannerless, and mean...and I am loving every minute of it.

"Oh, Liz," you say, "But, they're just so misinformed. They're ignorant, uncouth, vile. Surely, there are more civilized ways to discuss issues with our political leaders."

I ask you, Citizen: When was the last time you made a visit to your representative?

     Allow me...

I show up, having called ahead of time to set the appointment. I am greeted by the secretary who tells me that A) the Honorable Scum Sucker is in session, B) the Honorable Scum Sucker won't be in for the day, or C) the Honorable Scum Sucker is out having his/her anus bleached, courtesy of my tax dollars. But! The secretary is always "more than happy" to take down my name and pass along my concern.

When I mail or email my representative, I receive an automated response, addressing not at all the concern which moved me to write to the Vampire in the first place.

If you call, you will leave a message. (Watch attached video, showing how Alderman Luis Gutierrez has "listened" to his constituents in the 4th district in Chicago)

     That is how it goes.

Politicians, in their negligence and refusal to act in accordance with the People's will, have forfeited the blah-blah-freakin'-blah political rhetoric of their comfort zone.

For the first time in my life, I've seen the People resist the dizzying, rehearsed bullshit being vomited on them by their elected leaders.  If this doesn't look or sound pretty to the media, to newspaper columnists, to the politicians, well too goddam bad - The American Revolution didn't make the cover of Vogue, either.

And, don't be fooled, folks. There's nothing, and I mean NOTHING, more beloved by Uncle Sam than poor, ignorant, American bastards. These are the souls he keeps wadded up in his fist. These are the souls who trust him and vote for the minions who do his dirty work.

Our political leaders do NOT want a discussion with Americans who are well-spoken, well-versed, and responsible.  They want the illusion of an exchange with Americans who are stupid.

To this, I say: These outspoken, rowdy, angry Americans at the town hall meetings are NOT stupid. They are vigilant. They are confrontational. They are standing up and refusing to be tread on.

A smart American can see that.

I got the email from David Axelrod this morning, and also saw this article.

How convenient it is that these Reality Check "experts" are from inside the White House?

(Below are the "experts" and their corresponding White House / Fed roles. )

What does it tell you when the President sets policy via PR-spinning, haste, and threat?

Well,
     A)  His policy must not be popular with the People, but he chooses to push it
          anyway.
     B)  The President is wielding his executive powers in a dictatorial manner, rather than a            Presidential one.

From the article:
"We're offering the site and tools to empower individuals across the country to take this content into their own hands and share it among their networks," a senior administration official said. "That's the sort of bottom-up process that got us to the White House, and it's what's going to deliver meaningful change to the health insurance system."

Bottom-up?  What the hell is bottom-up about an Administration's attempt to fool the People into  accepting a reform they're clearly either questioning or opposed to?

And, Nancy Pelosi hasn't the slightest clue what it means to be American.  She couldn't possibly, having assessed civil discussion and righteous indignation to be UN-American.

RealityCheck?  Sounds like something the White House and the politicians ought to log onto, not the People.

CEA Chair Christina Romer details how health insurance reform will impact small businesses.
Domestic Policy Council Director Melody Barnes tackles a nasty rumor about euthanasia and clearly describes how reform helps families.

Matt Flavin, the White House's Director of Veterans and Wounded Warrior Policy, clears the air about Veteran's benefits.

Kavita Patel, M.D., a doctor serving in the White House's Office of Public Engagement, explains that health care rationing is happening right now and how reform gives control back to patients and doctors.

Bob Kocher, M.D., a doctor serving on the National Economic Council, debunks the myth that health insurance reform will be financed by cutting Medicare benefits.

It's a rainy day in Chicago, and, although, I try not to judge the value of a day according to its position in the Earth's water cycle, I realize that rainy days are a great catalyst for negative thoughts.

Today, we shun negative thoughts like a cheesecake left in our home after a bridal shower.  Get that thing OUTTA HERE!

But, negative thoughts are just as purposeful as positive thoughts.

How else could we reflect on a bad decision?  With what other lenses could we see the weeds in our garden?

To refuse to see the bad things in life is to downgrade all the good things, for they were not deemed good on their own merit.  Rather, they were assessed to be good due to our refusal to hold space for the bad.

As an ode to negative thoughts on this rainy day in Chicago, I give you my three most hated terms/phrases.  I give these negative thoughts time and space in an attempt to show that negative energy CAN ultimately become something positive.  To share with you my annoyance of these terms, may bring about said terms' ultimate demise.

     Enjoy my negativity.  Here goes:

1)  "Thanks in advance!"

How can you thank someone in advance?  Moreover, WHY would you thank someone in advance?  WORST of all, JUST SAY "THANKS" if you want to say it so goddamn badly - so prematurely - and leave the "in advance" at home, because you've already made it clear that the outcome of your request matters not at all.

2)  "Well, that's easier said than done."

Can someone give me an example of ANYTHING that is easier DONE than SAID?  That's the most pathetic excuse anyone could ever use for not doing something.  When someone says that to me, I just want to tell them, "Well, you might as well just go kill yourself, because you'll never achieve anything with that most ridiculous attitude and mantra."

3)  "Oooh, that sun is hot!"

You got it!  The sun is pretty much the hottest thing, anywhere, ever.  It is MADE of FIRE, for crying out loud.  Sun is hot!  News flash!

Thanks for listening to me whine.  I hope it brought a smile to your rainy day face.

Take it from the economist, Milton Friedman.

The battle is over, People, and the People have lost. Socialized medicine will be here, as will the National ID card. This will not be good for America, but the People, at this point, are desperate for care-taking. Uncle Sam has robbed them of most of their money, and has squeezed the value from their last remaining dollars.

When you bring People to this point, it is easy to convince them to take your offer, long-term consequences a non-issue.

In America, when the State vigorously interferes in the lives of the People, two separate results always occur:

     1) Those People who had already succumb to Uncle Sam's slavery become more obedient, better slaves. You see, these types have already given up anything they ever stood for - which for the most part, was nothing anyway. And now, they all have a bigger, better pacifier in their mouth, so they can run around Uncle Sam's Day-Care like the little children they really are and really want to be.

     Or:

     2) Those People who are free, or those who are considering freedom due to the latest said interference, find ways to do what they want.

Ah! The "black market". Don't be scared. It gets that dangerous-sounding honorific from the establishment, thereby discouraging you from taking part in a market based on freedom. God forbid, you'd get a taste of sweet freedom! No, don't!  It's dangerous.

Socialized medicine will breed better private doctors in the long-term; doctors who have ethics, who refuse to answer to the State, who practice the art and science of healing, not treating and poisoning.

Socialized medicine will breed more former citizens; People who stand on their nationality, not their fraudulent citizen status. These People are the free Americans, harboring unalienable rights which they will never forfeit. They will not accept a National ID card. These People are NOT cards and they are NOT numbers. They are the last remaining Americans.

When socialized health care comes to our beloved Country, which group will you stand with? Who are you underneath your car, your clothes, your house, your job? What will you tell your children when they ask you what it means to be an American? What are you willing to give up for your liberty?

I will give up a medical card.

You know, it's all so similar to the government-protected corporations which sell dangerous products or perform illegal activities. The DeBeers diamond monopoly, the pharmaceutical companies, and so many other corporations, continue to operate against the rule of law. If you sue them, they will settle. It costs them less. They are happy to throw you some peanuts and continue to fuck people over. It's their business plan. It's similar because the government no longer respects or holds space for our First Amendment Right. If it doesn't like what the People do or say, it simply arrests or tases the People. If the People see a problem with that, well then, they can just sue the oppressor later - after the tasing or jail time, of course. It costs Uncle Sam to have you out in the streets, telling it like you see it. It is free to Uncle Sam to silence you. We have the right to stand and assemble and speak and videotape. To request a permit for it is an infringement on that right. In any event, when you decide to start speaking up, and are inevitably met with hostility and arrest, make sure you get the arresting officer's badge number and name, because your beef - or rather, your pork - will be with that dude. In the Iliad, of Kings it reads, "If he [finds] a man of the People shouting and making noise, he would bring down the sceptre aross his back." I'd rather be scathed by the sceptre than the taser, I suppose. And, here I do not jest. These violent consequences are things the American People must address, as the American government has become cruel and unusual in their punishment. This video, btw, is the most G-rated of any I've seen regarding police brutality and federal regulation. It is, however, very easy to understand and architecturally sound - this is how these confrontations go. Video courtesy of the Young Americans for Liberty
