So it was rude. So what? Rep. Joe Wilson's outburst has been completely blown out of proportion by Democrats...the same Democrats who jeered at George W. Bush in 2005.
Barack Obama is not our King. He is our President. As the most senior cabinet minister of the executive branch of government, I say he should be forced to undergo a good roasting, similar to those that get off the ground in the British House of Commons.
Imagine this going on with United States politicians. Just imagine.
Ah! Now, this is fun!

So true. The uniquely American issue here is how much respect to afford someone who is both politician and head of state, both cabinet minister and elected monarch. Of course even our cabinet ministers aren't beholden to Congress to the extent that their British counterparts are to Parliament. There's something to be said for the system (in France for instance) of separate prime ministerial and presidential posts, and there's so little debate of ANY kind in America these days it seems; I think we could use a little "question time" of our own on this side of the pond.
Hilarious.
